Ad campaign by Satellite TV company magnifies just how much we now use images as our console to interact with everything around us

The cheeky new print and TV campaign by Sky TV in the UK for their on-the-go all-platform TV service emphasises just how much the screen and the digital image has become a natural extension of ourselves. Familiar to designers and photographers, our image of the world (like the photo above) is increasingly layered – like design or photo-software.


When the always-connected smartphone is hardwired into everything we do, touch-screen images will become our default ‘console’ for interacting with the world. There will be a new set of skills in selecting images that  ‘sync’  best with reality,  that will which will prompt engagement and interaction.
