A picture speaks a thousand words, unless its of your feet.

Before the meteoric rise of the digital camera, when a single roll of polaroid film or an instant camera would have to last the entire length of a holiday or special occasion, we lacked the luxury of deleting unwanted pictures to make space for more. This meant that, in general, photographs were considered, planned and cherished.

But the emergence of DSLRs, smartphones and the SD chip has given rise to something so culturally horrific, Angela Liao of 20px had no choice but to illustrate the situation.

‘Selfies’, pictures of our food and meaninglessly artistic shots of doors are just a few of the types of images Angela wants to draw our attention to.
